Who is the Women's Outdoors Club Woman?

She is defined not by how far she has traveled, but by her willingness to take the next step into the unknown. She’s the woman who says "yes" to new adventures—even when they feel intimidating—and comes home with dirt on her boots and a story to tell.

Beyond her own journey, she is a natural connector. She cheers louder for others than for herself, waiting at the top of the hill with open arms and steady encouragement. And when she posts her photos and stories for the world to see, she isn't showing off—she's opening a door, inviting every woman in her circle to discover what they are capable of.

Key Pillars of the Spirit

Everyday Courage (The Trailblazer): She doesn't need to be an expert mountain climber—she just needs the willingness to try something new. Whether it's her first kayak launch, overnight backpack, or local trail, she embraces the thrill of new experiences with curiosity and resilience.

Radical Support (The Sisterhood): She believes the outdoors is better together. She offers a steady hand on a steep climb, celebrates every milestone—big or small—and creates a space where every woman feels capable, welcome, and safe.

Generous Storytelling (The Catalyst): She doesn't keep the beauty of her adventures to herself. By sharing her real, unvarnished experiences on social media, she demystifies the outdoors and shows other women that they belong out here, too.

WOC Spirit Award

The WOC Spirit is defined by being bold in pursuit and kind in spirit. She is a woman who steps outside her comfort zone to try new trails and pursuits, lifts up the women hiking beside her, and shares her journey to inspire her community to step outside, too.
